1:07 a.m.: disturbance, Colonial Pine Acres, 50 Southampton Road, a caller reports a domestic disturbance in which a female party fell from a moving vehicle, the responding officer reports a routine check revealed that he male party was the subject of an outstanding warrant, Jonathan V. Davila, 27, of 73 Meadow St., was arrested on the warrant;
2:16 a.m.: incapacitated person, Meadow Street, a caller from a Meadow Street bar reports a person is passed out in a vehicle in the bar’s parking lot, the responding officer reports he encountered a male party in his pickup truck who said he was not feeling well and was going to take a nap, the officer reports the man was provided a courtesy transport to his Mechanic Street home;
8:29 a.m.: motor vehicle violation, North Elm Street, a patrol officer reports a traffic stop, the officer reports that the operator’s license was found to have been suspended, a criminal complaint was filed and the vehicle was towed to the police impound yard;
10:07 a.m.: illegal dumping, Little River Plaza, a caller reports a man with a young teenaged boy just dumped an air conditioner on the loading dock behind the Little River Plaza, the responding officer reports he spoke with the suspect who said that he always brings his old appliances to Manny’s for recycling, the man said that he was not aware that the Manny’s store in Westfield has closed;
10:22 a.m.: burning complaint, New Broadway, a caller reports that new neighbors have been burning all week and the smoke and smell is disturbing his peace, the responding fire captain reports that the resident extinguished the fire;
11:24 a.m.: officer wanted, Notre Dame Street, a caller requests an officer to mediate a dispute between neighbors, see story in the Tuesday edition of The Westfield News;
2:41 p.m.: motor vehicle violation, North Elm Street, a patrol officer reports a traffic stop, the vehicle’s registration was found to be expired and the car was towed;
4:10 p.m.: arrest, East main Street, an off-duty community policing officer reports he has observed a known party believed to be the subject of an outstanding warrant, the responding officer reports the warrant was confirmed, Issac Hernandez, 20, of no known address in Westfield, was arrested on the warrant;
4:24 p.m.: disturbance, Orange Street, a caller reports she was attempting to gather her possessions so she could leave a residence she has shared with her boyfriend but the man slapped her and was throwing her property out the door, the woman said that he threatened to go get a gun, the responding officer reports that the man allowed officers to search his apartment and they discovered a .22 caliber pistol, ammunition and a white powder which tested positive for a Class B drug, Diosdado Mayonet Pagan, 51, of 41 Orange St., was arrested for assault and battery in a domestic relationship, possession of a firearm without a FID card, two charges of possession of ammunition without a firearm, possession of a Class B drug and threatening to commit a crime;
6:39 p.m.: suspicious property, Springdale Street, a caller reports her children found tarps set up in woods behind her home and when they approached a male party yelled at them to get away from his home, the responding officer reports the incident occurred a few days earlier and his inspection revealed some tarps, bins and an air mattress but nobody was in the area, the residents and their children were advised to call police if they see the man again;
7:36 p.m.: suspicious activity, George Street, a caller reports he believes a neighbor is selling marijuana and believes he is observing a backyard transaction while speaking with police, the responding officer reports a Miller Street resident was issued a city ordinance violation citation and less than an ounce of marijuana a was seized and transported to the station;
8:14 p.m.: accident, Franklin Street at Shepard Street, multiple callers report a two-car head-on collision, both operators and a passenger were transported to Noble Hospital where they all were treated and released, one of the operators was found to be intoxicated and a criminal complaint alleging operating under the influence of liquor, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and a marked lanes violation was filed, both vehicles were towed to the police impound yard;
10:00 p.m.: found property, Route 5, Northampton, a Northampton resident came to the station to surrender a wallet found on Route 5 in Northampton, the responding officer reports the man said that he does not know where the Northampton police station is, the officer reports an initial attempt to contact the owner of the wallet was not successful and it was taken for safe keeping;
11:23 p.m.: burning complaint, Washington Street, a caller reports smoke from a neighbor’s campfire is getting into his home, the responding firefighters report the fire was extinguished.
