7:37 p.m.: disturbance, Hampden Street, a caller reports she was assaulted by her boyfriend, the responding officer reports he arrived to find a male party in the living room drinking a beer and a female party in the bedroom who was visibly upset and crying, the woman said that during an argument her boyfriend struck her head four times and the officer observed noticeable lumps on her head, the woman declined to make a written statement and the man denied assaulting the woman, Michael N. Leonard, 40, of 26 Hampden St., was arrested for assault and battery in a domestic relationship;
7:49 a.m.: fraud, Birch Bluffs Drive, a residence came to the station to report his personal information was fraudulently used, the responding officer reports the man said that he received a letter from an online payment service thanking him for opening an account, the man said that he had not opened the account but found that two purchases had been made totaling about $2,000, the agency was notified and the transactions were cancelled;
Noon: accident, East Main Street. Multiple callers report a pedestrian was struck by a motor vehicle, the responding officer reports he learned that a pedestrian crossing the parking lot at an East Main Street hardware store was struck by a pickup truck, the operator of the vehicle said that he had been looking to see if a vendor outside the store was open and didn’t see the pedestrian as he exited the parking lot, the pedestrian was transported to Noble Hospital;
1:44 p.m.; animal complaint, Laro Circle at Shaker Road, a caller reports a cat was struck by a vehicle and is injured, the responding animal control officer reports the cat was transported to Montgomery Road Animal Hospital for treatment;
2:14 p.m.: weather complaint, North Road, a caller reports a fallen trees has taken down wires which may be energized, the DPW and the G&E were notified, the responding officer reports the roadway was impassable and crews were working to reopen it;
2:31 p.m.: animal complaint, Fairfield Avenue, multiple callers report a dog on a roof, the animal control officer was notified and the responding officer reports a state trooper was helping the resident remove the dog with a ladder;
3:50 p.m.: animal complaint, Southampton Road, a caller reports two alpacas are running loose in the roadway, the alpacas were found to be in Southampton and Southampton authorities dealt with them;
4:20 p.m.: fraud, Palma Place, a resident came to the station to report misuse of her debit card, the responding officer reports the woman said that she used her debit card to make a purchase at a Springfield Road department store and the next day was queried about two charges made with her debit card at a branch of the same store in Chicago, Ill., the case was referred to the financial crimes unit of the detective bureau;
5:25 p.m.: disturbance, Southampton Road, a caller reports a verbal disturbance, the responding officer reports the male party left prior to his arrival, the officer reports that he did not get an immediate response to a routine check of the participants but after he left he found that the female party was the subject of an outstanding warrant, the officer returned, Gabriele A. Abt, 47, of 480 Southampton Road, was arrested on the warrant;
9:35 p.m.: vandalism, Belvidere Gardens, a caller reports an egg was thrown at her residence, the responding officer reports an egg struck a window but caused no damage, a search of the area did not yield any suspects;
10:48 p.m.: disturbance, Southampton Road, a caller reports her daughter’s boyfriend has assaulted her grandson, the responding officer reports the suspect had left the building, the adult victim said that during an argument his mother’s boyfriend had assaulted him and fled to his bedroom where he locked himself inside, a search of the area revealed the suspect lying down in a wooded area, Lawrence C. Ryan, 43, of 480 Southampton Road, was arrested for assault and battery in a domestic relationship;

1:11 a.m.: trespassing, Half Mile Falls Park, North Elm Street, a patrol officer reports he observed a group of person in the park, the officer reports that the trespassers were visitors to the city and unaware of the restrictions, the group left the park without incident, while at the park the officer reports he observed new graffiti on a stone wall;
8:36 a.m.: motor vehicle violation, School Street, a traffic bureau officer reports he encountered a parked vehicle with expired registration, the vehicle was towed to the police impound yard;
10:38 a.m.: larceny, Florence Street, a resident came to the station to report that he was victimized in an online scam, the respond officer reports the man said that he had offered a circular saw for sale online and made a purchase agreement with a buyer in Spain, the man said that the he received two money orders mailed from Boston well in excess of the purchase price and subsequently received an e-mail notification that the money orders had been dispatched in error and agreed to refund the excess, the man said that he sent funds by a Western Union money transfer but was limited to $700, the man subsequently found that the original money orders were fraudulent and were not paid;
1:51 p.m.: weather complaint, West School Street, a caller reports a large tree has fallen on a house and taken down wires which may be energized, the responding officer reports the G&E and the building inspector were notified and also reports that the fallen tree was removed from the house as a courtesy by DPW and tree service workers;
3:08 p.m.: motor vehicle violation, Court Street, a traffic bureau officer reports the operator of a vehicle operating next to his cruiser was observed to be sending a text message, a verbal warning was issued.
