12:30 a.m.: assist other agency, Noble Hospital, Court Street, a caller from the hospital’s emergency department requests assistance with an unruly patient, the responding officer reports he helped staff restrain a patient who was threatening the staff with physical violence;
7:38 a.m.: breaking and entering, Westminister Street, a caller reports her vehicle was broken into overnight, the responding officer reports the unlocked vehicle was entered but nothing was immediately found to be missing;
7:50 a.m.: city ordinance violation, Southampton Road, a caller reports a sidewalk has not been cleared of snow, the responding officer reports he spoke with the juvenile residents of the house in question who said that they had forgotten to clear the sidewalk as their mother told them to, the children assured the officer that the sidewalk would be cleared that day;
10:08 a.m.: motor vehicle violation, Mechanic Street, a patrol officer reports a traffic stop, the vehicle’s registration was found to be expired and non-renewable, the car was towed to the police impound yard;
12:52 p.m.: assist other agency, Noble Hospital, Court Street, an officer helping hospital staff with a patient requests assistance, a second officer was dispatched and the officers report they were able to restrain the assaultive patient;
1:16 p.m.: larceny, East Main Street, a caller from an East Main Street department store reports two peole stole jackets from the store, the responding officer reports a search of the area did not yield a suspect but a suspicious vehicle was observed, investigating detectives report that they are pursuing a line of investigation;
2:02 p.m.: larceny, Steiger Drive, a caller reports a new hitch was stolen from his trailer, the responding officer reports that the new hitch was removed from his truck in the past 24 hours but he does not know where the theft occurred;
2:23 p.m.: motor vehicle violation, Main Street at Exchange Street, a patrol officer reports a traffic stop, the vehicle’s registration was found to have been revoked for lack of insurance but has since expired, the vehicle was towed and the plates were seized;
5:51 p.m.: identity fraud, Dewey Avenue, a resident came to the station to report she was the victim of identity fraud and to request a report, the responding officer reports a report was filed;
6:46 p.m.: motor vehicle violation, Main Street, a patrol officer reports a traffic stop, the vehicle’s registration was found to have been revoked for lack of insurance, the vehicle was towed to the police impound yard;
7:09 p.m.: motor vehicle violation, Springfield Road, a patrol officer reports a traffic stop, the vehicle’s registration was found to have been revoked for lack of insurance but left the scene, the officer reports he gave pursuit and the vehicle pulled into a nearby parking lot, the officer reports the operator misunderstood him and was not trying to flee, the SUV was towed to the police impound yard;
7:35 p.m.: trespassing, Tanglewood Drive, a caller reports that a relative who has previously been served with a ‘No trespassing’ order is at his home, the responding officer reports the man had left the house and a search of the area did not yield the suspect, a criminal complaint was filed;
8:18 p.m.: abandoned automobile, Cycle Street, a caller reports a heavily damaged pickup truck has apparently been abandoned on the woods near his home, the responding officer reports the interior had been cleared of paperwork and anything to identify the owner, the officer determined that the vehicle had been involved in a crash in Southwick and a family member of the owner was contacted.
