2:58 a.m.: Officer wanted, School Street. Police received a report of an assault and damage to a vehicle. According to police, a person came to the victim while the victim was sitting in a car and attempted to assault him. Glass was broken on scene but no injury to the victim. Police were told that this may have been related to a party that was happening at the victim’s residence, but there was nothing confirmed. No arrests were made.
12:44 p.m. Vandalism to the motor vehicle, Southwick Road. Police received a report of a vehicle’s windshield wiper that was bent while the victim was reportedly attending church. Police had no witnesses and made no arrests at the time of the report.
5:42 p.m.: Accident and arrest, Mill Street. Police received a report of a vehicle that had struck a fence on Mill Street. Initially, the driver did not exit the vehicle and there was no confirmation on if there were injuries. Police arrived and the driver exited the vehicle and was allegedly bracing themselves on the car door. Upon talking with the driver, Mary R. Cyr, 42, of Westfield, they reported that she had an odor of alcohol and slurred speech. Police reported that she failed field sobriety tests and was arrested for operating under the influence of liquor–second offense, and negligent operation of a motor vehicle.
