12:38 a.m.: disturbance, Crescent Circle, a dispatcher reports a caller reported an altercation before abruptly disconnecting, the responding officer reports he found that alcohol was apparently involved in an altercation between family members but neither wished to pursue criminal charges;
8:15 a.m.: school investigation, George Street, a school resource officer reports a 14-year-old girl said she was scared of a man in her neighborhood who has waited for her in the morning as she goes to school and gave her a note with his email address, the SRO reports he spoke with the suspect and strongly advised him to cease all contact with the girl, the man said that he would comply;
1:00 p.m.: animal complaint, Westfield Animal Shelter, 178 Apremont Way, a woman came to the shelter to surrender a buff colored female terrier dog found on Washington Street;
5:46 p.m.: disturbance, Jefferson Street, a caller reports she was assaulted by three people, the responding officer report she encountered three pedestrians and found that during an altercation one slapped another, no charges were filed;
7:05 p.m.: motor vehicle violation, East Main Street, a patrol officer reports a traffic stop, the officer reports the vehicle was not registered and had not been inspected, the vehicle was towed and a family member came to get the occupants;
10:41 p.m.: vandalism, Mechanic Street, a caller reports 10-12 college aged youths are attempting to remove manhole covers from the roadway, the responding officer reports he spoke with college students and advised them of the possible repercussions of their activities, the manhole covers were replaced and the pedestrians were dispersed.
