5:26 a.m.: incapacitated person, Russell Road, a caller reports a person who was walking in the roadway is now inside a Russell Road convenience store, the responding officer reports he encountered a man who was wet and muddy and said that he had been drinking, the man said that he had decided to walk home but could not tell the officer his address or the phone number of anyone who would care for him, the man was placed in protective custody;
7:16 a.m.: breaking and entering, Chapel Street, a caller reports his mother said that someone is in her apartment, see story in the Tuesday edition of The Westfield News;
9:25 a.m.: animal complaint, Bayberry Lane, the manager of animal control operations reports she traveled to Southwick to take custody of a male Pekinese mix dog which was surrendered there;
1:59 p.m.: motor vehicle violation, Lindbergh Boulevard, a patrol officer reports a traffic stop, the plates on the car were found to have been issued for another vehicle, the car was towed to the police impound yard
5:05 p.m.: motor vehicle violation, State Street, a patrol officer requests a tow for a vehicle found to have registration revoked for lack of insurance, the vehicle was towed to the police impound yard;
7:45 p.m.: disturbance, East Main Street, an officer responded to a panic alarm at an East Main Street business, the officer reports that the owner had asked people creating a disturbance to leave but they refused, the owner said that he has had similar issues with the four youths previously and wanted to serve then with ‘No trespassing’ orders, the officer report the orders were served and the officer advised the owner of the proper use of a panic alarm.
