7:59 a.m.: assist citizen, Cranston Street, a caller reports his keys are locked inside a running vehicle, the responding firefighters report entry was made;
12:45 p.m.: larceny, Franklin Street, a detective reports he discovered a class ring which had been sold to an Elm Street jewelry store had been stolen, the detective reports he spoke with seller of the ring who said that he bought it from a male party he knows only by his first name, a criminal complaint was filed;
1:11 p.m.: weather complaint, Elm Street, a caller reports untreated sidewalks at an Elm Street business, the responding officer reports the store manager said that the company’s property service staff would be notified of the problem, a city ordinance violation citation was filed;
1:53 p.m.: animal complaint, Whispering Wind Drive, the director of animal control operations reports he took custody of a stray black and white terrier dog and transported it to the municipal animal shelter;
2:32 p.m.: larceny, Sackett Road, a resident came to the station to complain that a horse she purchased has not been delivered, the responding officer reports the woman said she had spoken with the seller who said that the horse had been sold to another party and he would refund her payment when he is paid by the other buyer, the woman said that she has been in contact with police in that jurisdiction who require that she report the issue to Westfield police;
3:07 p.m.: disturbance, Southampton Road, a caller reports an irate customer broke items in a convenience store and threw a can at the clerk because she thought her credit card had been charged twice for her purchase, the responding officer reports the customer had left the area;
4:39 p.m.: motor vehicle violation, East Main Street, a traffic bureau officer reports a traffic stop, the vehicle’s registration as found to be expired and the pickup truck was towed to the police impound yard;
