6:12 a.m.: Suspicious person and arrest, Day Avenue. Police received a report from a resident who claimed that a male had tried to get into their house by allegedly pulling on the door handle. According to the resident, the person then left when the homeowner allegedly confronted him and reportedly walked down the street. Police arrived and arrested Joshua R. Kudelka, 27, of Westfield, on a charge of violating an abuse prevention order.

10:20 a.m.: Larceny, Dunkin Donuts, North Elm Street. Police received a report that someone overnight allegedly stole a Boys and Girls Club donation jar from this location and that it was also caught on security footage. Police are investigating but no arrests were made at the time of the report.

10:52 p.m.: Accident, Southampton Road. Police received a report initially for a possible three-vehicle accident, but was actually a two-vehicle crash involving a 2011 Ford Crown Victoria and a 2008 Chevrolet 2500. Police reported that the collision was head-on after one vehicle allegedly entered the other’s lane. Two people were reported injured and both were transported to the hospital via Westfield Fire ambulance and paramedics; one went to Baystate Noble Hospital while one was transported to Baystate Medical Center in Springfield.
