1:37 a.m.: accident, Pontoosic Road at Little River Road, a caller from the DPW reports that there is a vehicle which is stopped sideways in the intersection and the operator declined to speak with a DPW worker at the scene, the responding officer reports the vehicle was towed to the police impound yard;
9:17 a.m.: accident, Pochassic Road, caller reports a vehicle struck a fire hydrant in front of his house and snapped it off at the base, the responding officer reports the water and fire departments were notified;
12:42 p.m.: fraud, WalMart, 141 Springfield Road, a caller reports her credit card was used to purchase items at WalMart, see story in the Feb. 21 edition of The Westfield News.
