7:28 a.m.: Accident, Union Street and Springfield Road. Police received a report for a two-vehicle crash involving a 2012 Honda Pilot and a 2015 Toyota Corolla. No injuries were reported but a tow truck was requested for a vehicle.

7:48 a.m.: Accident, North Road and Southampton Road. Police received a report for a vehicle that had apparently become stuck in a snowbank. There were no injuries reported and no airbag deployment, but when police arrived they did request a tow truck.

8:43 a.m.: Burglary and breaking and entering, East Main Street. Police received a report that sometime overnight a business on East Main Street was broken into and had about $400 cash was stolen, as well as checks, according to police. Also, according to the report a rock was thrown through the business’s window, which is where entry may have been made. Police were investigating but no arrests at the time of the report.

2:32 p.m.: Larceny, Elm Street. Police received a report of a purse that was stolen from a business on Elm Street. According to police, the purse was found down the street in front of another business, and clothing was reportedly strewn about. Police reported about $200 was stolen. Police were investigating but no arrests at the time of the report.

4:42 p.m.: Fraud, walk-in. Police received a report from someone who claimed that they were “scammed” out of $8,000. The scam had allegedly occurred through a dating service. Police are investigating.

6:29 p.m.: Accident, Union Street. Police received a report for a two-vehicle crash involving a 2008 Chrysler Sebring and a 2000 Honda Civic. Police reported that there was a reported injury but no airbag deployment and no tow truck requested. Westfield Fire paramedics arrived on scene and the injured party had reportedly refused treatment and transport to the hospital.

7:05 p.m.: Accident, Southwick Road. Police received a report for a two-vehicle crash involving a 2000 Honda CRV and a 2014 Ford van. Police reported that both vehicles required tow trucks and that there were a total of four injured parties, all of which were transported to Baystate Noble Hospital via Westfield Fire ambulance and paramedics.

7:23 p.m.: Accident, Southwick Road. Police reported that a five-vehicle crash involving a 2012 Toyota RAV4, a 2008 Chevrolet Malibu, a 2012 Lincoln MKZ, a 2006 Toyota Corolla and a 2009 Toyota truck had occurred while traffic was reportedly stopped for the above-mentioned accident on the same road. The collision occurred after one vehicle was stopped for traffic that Westfield Police was directing, and that vehicle was hit in the rear, which then caused a chain reaction of collisions with three other vehicles total. One person was reported injured and was transported to Baystate Noble Hospital via Westfield Fire ambulance and paramedics, and one vehicle was also towed from the scene.
