4:29 a.m.: assault, Main Street, a patrol office reports he happened to be in the Noble Hospital emergency department when a male party entered with obvious facial injuries, the officer reports the man said that he had been assaulted at an Elm Street bar but did not wish to pursue the matter;
8:46 a.m.: accident, Ponders Hollow Road, a patrol officer reports he encountered a broken utility pole, the officer reports that evidence suggests that a tractor trailer unit or box truck backed into the pole and left after it snapped;
9:48 a.m.: assist citizen, Union Street, a caller reports locking her keys inside her running vehicle, the responding deputy fire chief reports entry was made;
10:09 a.m.: weather complaint, Elm Street, the Traffic and Safety Bureau commander reports receiving a complaint of an impassable sidewalk due to snow and ice, the appropriate business was advised to address the issue, snow clearance complaints were also addressed on Church Street and at multiple East Main Street addresses:
3:09 p.m.: breaking and entering, St. Paul Street, a resident came to the station to report that somebody broke in her rental apartment and stole a small refrigerator, the responding officer reports that a former tenant who had left property in an apartment when she was evicted said that she had misunderstood an arrangement she had made with the landlady to retrieve the refrigerator and entered her former apartment via window when her landlady did not meet her there as she had thought she would, the former tenant was served with a ‘No trespassing’ order but no charges were filed;
3:58 p.m.: motor vehicle violation, Elm Street, a senior supervisory officer reports stopping an erratically operating truck which displayed no registration plate, the vehicle was found to be unregistered and was towed from the street;
5:40 p.m.: animal complaint, Hampden Street at King Street, a caller reports an aggressive dog which is growling and foaming at the mouth is following her and her two children, the responding officer reports he spoke with owners of ‘Dexter’ (who was friendly and appeared to be well cared for) who said that he was able to scale his fence due to the height of the snow pack but they will address that issue;
8:27 p.m.: motor vehicle violation, Main Line Drive, a patrol officer requests a tow for a vehicle found to have registration revoked for lack of insurance, the vehicle was towed to the police impound yard;
9:46 p.m.: disturbance, Orange Street, an anonymous caller reports a party with minors consuming alcohol is underway at an Orange Street address where the parents are away, the responding supervisory officer reports a 17-year-old girl had been left at home and an underage party was in progress, the parents of the guests were advised and came to take custody of their children, the resident girl was left in the custody of a family friend and the officer will speak with the residents when they return;
9:57 p.m.: incapacitated person, Elm Street, a patrol officer reports she encountered a female party lying on the ground who was obviously highly intoxicated, the woman was transported to Noble Hospital;
10:37 p.m.: vandalism, North Elm Street, a caller reports his girlfriend’s car was keyed, the responding officer reports the owner said that she had parked her car at a bar about 10 p.m. and returned to find deep scratches on both sides of her vehicle and an insult written in the condensation on a window, the officer noted the scratches and reports the woman said that she knows of nobody who bears animosity toward her;
10:45 p.m.: disturbance, Franklin Street, a patrol officer reports that he observed a person urinating on the side of a house where people were waiting to enter, the officer reports that when officers approached and knocked on the door there was no immediate response although persons inside could be heard telling others to be quiet and hide because police were present, the officer reports he eventually spoke with a tenant who dispersed the party, 57 people were seen leaving and the tenants were advised of the possible consequences of allowing guests younger than the legal drinking age to consume alcohol in their residence;
10:49 p.m.: disturbance, Church Street, a caller reports a large college aged party, the responding community policing officer reports peace was restored at the party which included more than 100 people.
