9:05 a.m.: animal complaint, Westfield Animal Shelter, 178 Apremont Way, an animal control officer reports a female chocolate Labrador retriever type dog was surrendered by a family which found the dog in the area 141 Springfield Road the previous night;
5:34 p.m.: disturbance, Shepard Street, a caller reports college aged neighbors are having a party and a sign on the lawn reads “Honk if you want us to drink” is inducing passers by to honk, the responding officer reports about 10 persons were in the front yard but the noise did not seem excessive for the time of the day, the officer reports other neighbors he spoke with did not object to the noise but the renters were cooperative and moved to the back yard.
