1:44 a.m.: building check, Union Avenue, a patrol officer reports a routine check of a building undergoing renovation revealed the door to be open, he reports he is holding a person on the second floor at gunpoint, a key holder was notified, Ransford A. Kwade, 22, of 156 Granby Road, Chicopee, was arrested for breaking and entering with intent to commit a misdemeanor and for trespass;
9:03 a.m.: larceny, Roosevelt Avenue, a resident came to the station to complain that her registration plates and vehicle title were stolen, the responding officer reports the complainant does not know where or when the theft occurred;
9:31 a.m.: school investigation, Hanover Street, a caller reports her son is being bullied at school and school authorities haven’t done enough to stop it, the responding school resource officer reports the woman’s complaints were addressed;
10:22 a.m.: found property, Western Avenue at Kensington Avenue, a resident came to the station to surrender a found wallet, the responding officer reports the owner of the wallet could not be immediately contacted and the wallet was stored for safe keeping;
10:57 a.m.: animal complaint, Susan Drive, an animal control officer reports she took custody of a banded pigeon and transported it to the animal shelter;
2:30 p.m.: larceny, Mechanic Street, a caller reports a customer passed a bad check at his business, the responding officer reports a customer’s check for more than a $1,000 was found to have been drawn on a closed account;
6:01 p.m.: assist motorist, Montgomery Street, a tractor trailer driver requests assistance getting his rig off a lawn, the responding officer reports the semi-trailer unit was escorted off the property with minor damage to the lawn.
