12:49 a.m.: city ordinance violation, Elm Street, a patrol officer report he observed a male party urinating on Elm Street, a city ordinance violation citation was issued;
12:50 a.m.: city ordinance violation, Mechanic Street, a caller reports college aged neighbors have been making excessive noise for hours, the responding officer reports 12-15 persons on a porch were dispersed and a city ordinance violation citation was issued;
8:26 a.m.: school investigation, Hubbard Street, a caller reports youths are in the playground, the responding officer reports the truant Westfield Technical Academy pupils were sent back to the school;
11:42 a.m.: vandalism, Washington Street, a caller reports vandalism to her vehicle, the responding officer reports both rear view mirrors on the parked vehicle were broken off and other damage was done to the car;
2:08 p.m.: counterfeiting, City Hall, 59 Court St., a caller from the city collector’s office reports receiving a counterfeit $20 bill, the responding officer reports a cash payment received over the counter included a bogus $20 bill;
3:09 p.m.: assault, Elm Street, a caller reports she was slapped in the face by a long-time friend while she was at a downtown bar, the complainant doesn’t require neither a formal report nor an investigation but nonetheless reported the incident;
5:39 p.m.: arrest, Mechanic Street, a patrol officer reports he observed a known party believed to be the subject of an outstanding warrant, the warrant was confirmed and Julian S. Santiago, 27, of 44 Savoy Ave., Springfield, was arrested on the warrant issued by Westfield District Court;
11:59 p.m.: disturbance, Shepard Street, a caller reports a loud college aged party, the responding officer noted that police have responded previously to eight similar complaints at the address, the officer reports a tenant answered the door, insulted the officers he found and slammed the door in their faces, a city ordinance violation for excessive noise was issued and the gathering was dispersed.
