9:49 a.m.: animal complaint, Southampton Road, an animal control officer reports she was advised that a trap set for a stray cat had been successful, the ACO reports a gray and white medium haired domestic male cat with a pink collar was transported to the municipal animal shelter;
12:35 p.m.: larceny, Westfield Middle School, 30 W. Silver St., a resident came to the station to report that her son’s phone was stolen from his school locker, the school resource officer was advised;
1:26 p.m.: animal complaint, Dubois Street, an animal control officer reports a resident surrendered a stray cat which came to her door when she moved into a new residence three days earlier, the ACO reports the blind, gray tabby domestic short haired cat which has been spayed and was wearing a flea collar was transported to the municipal animal shelter;
3:33 p.m.: fraud, Church Street, a resident came to the station to report that he had acted on a spoofed email message which purportedly came from his boss and asked him to buy gift cards and send the redemption numbers to him by email, the responding officer reports the email the victim received was fraudulent but his employer reimbursed him for his loss;
11:13 p.m.: incapacitated person, Elm Street, a caller reports a male party appears to be sleeping on church property, the responding officer reports the man was transported to Baystate Noble Hospital for evaluation;
11:49 p.m.: disturbance, Avery Street, a caller reports a college related disturbance, the responding officers report that peace was restored.
