6:34 a.m.: Accident, Root Road. Police received a report of several vehicles in an area on Root Road with hazard lights on. A report was also made of electrical wires that were in the road. According to police, a vehicle had slid into a utility pole and broke the pole. Icy conditions contributed to the crash. No injuries reported.
7:11 a.m.: Accident, Springfield Road. Police reported an officer backed into a stationary plow. No damage to the plow reported.
3:46 p.m.: Accident, Meadow Street and Union Avenue. Police received a report of a rear-end collision. A 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe and a 2014 Honda CRV were involved. No injuries reported and no tow trucks requested.
4:09 p.m.: Shoplifting, Stop and Shop Main Street. Police received a report of a possible shoplifting incident. Police recovered a shopping cart and the alleged stolen items, which they noted was soda. No arrest made, however.
