12:19 a.m.: counterfeiting, Elm Street, a patrol officer reports she found counterfeit money in a trash can outside an Elm Street gas station;
2:55 a.m.: suspicious person, Whitney Playground, Shepard Street, a patrol officer reports he observed a male party sleeping on a bench at the playground, the officer reports the man was identified and had been previously served a ‘No trespassing’ order for all city parks and playgrounds, Daniel C. Fisher, of no fixed address in Westfield, was arrested for trespass;
7:57 a.m.: infrastructure complaint, East Main Street at Mainline Drive, a caller reports a construction crew severed a gas line, dual response dispatched, a nearby day care center was evacuated while workers capped the broken pipe;
8:24 a.m.: motor vehicle violation, Chapel Street, a patrol officer reports a traffic stop, the vehicle’s registration was found to be expired and non-renewable, the vehicle was towed and a criminal complaint was filed;
9:21 a.m.: motor vehicle violation, Elm Street, a patrol officer he encountered a parked vehicle with expired registration, the vehicle was towed to the police impound yard;
10:13 a.m.: motor vehicle violation, School Street, a patrol officer reports a traffic stop, the vehicle’s registration was found to be expired, the vehicle was towed the vehicle was towed to the police impound yard;
12:12 p.m.: vandalism, Danek Drive, a resident came to the station to report her car was vandalized, the responding officer reports the complainant said that between 5:30 p.m.Thursday and 8 a.m. Friday her vehicle was dented and scratched, the officer reports the woman suggested that a relative might be responsible;
12:24 p.m.: motor vehicle violation, North Elm Street, a patrol officer reports a traffic stop, the vehicle’s registration was found to be expired, the vehicle was towed to the police impound yard and the officer provided the operator a courtesy transport to College Park Lane address;
2:37 p.m.: motor vehicle violation, School Street, a patrol officer reports a traffic stop, the vehicle’s registration was found to have been revoked for lack of insurance and subsequently expired, the vehicle was towed to the police impound yard and a criminal complaint was filed;
2:47 p.m.: fire, Linden Avenue, a caller reports she tried to use her car to jump-start her lawn mower and started a fire in the lawn mower, the responding firefighters report the fire was out upon their arrival and damage to the lawn mower appeared to be minimal, the owner was advised to have the lawn tractor professionally serviced before it is again used;
5:25 p.m.: motor vehicle violation, Old Feeding Hills Road, a patrol officer requests a tow for a vehicle found to have expired registration, the vehicle was towed to the police impound yard;
7:07 p.m.: disturbance, Cycle Street, a caller reports her husband assaulted her, the responding officer reports the woman said that she had been engaged in an argument with her husband when he struck her, the man had left the residence but was found nearby by another officer, Pablo A. Baez, 41, of 6 Cycle St., was arrested for assault and battery in a domestic relationship;
10:20 p.m.: vandalism, Colonial Pine Acres, 50 Southampton Road, a caller reports her vehicle was vandalized, the responding officer reports she returned to her vehicle which was parked in her assigned parking place and found that a window had been shattered , no entry appeared to have been gained.
