Major crime and incident report
Monday, July 13, 2015
9:43 a.m.: motor vehicle theft, 2013 Hyundai Sonata used without authority, vehicle missing, incident report taken;
10:44 a.m.: accident, 1 Orange St. at 268 Elm St., two vehicle accident, one driver transported to Noble Hospital for non-accident related reasons;
12:37 p.m.: animal complaint, Home Depot, 514 E. Main St., dog in car, verbal warning given;
1:38 p.m.: vandalism, Law Office of Robert Walker, 146 Elm St., employee found damage to front window; does not appear to be an attempted break-in;
2:12 p.m.: animal complaint, Cross Street, cat found and brought to Westfield Animal Shelter;
4:21 p.m.: larceny, Deputy Chief Kane reported a fire helmet and visor were missing, possibly stolen from Westfield Fire Department;
7:15 p.m.: fraud, resident reported an Internet scam involving sending money that turned out to be a hoax;
8:19 p.m.: motor vehicle violation, Chinto’s Pizza, 868 Southampton Road, Willie James Jackson, Jr., 34, of 144 Crescent Drive, Chicopee, arrested for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, subsequent offense, and not having an inspection sticker;
9:22 p.m.: vandalism/larceny, Southwood Road, resident found motorcycle on its side and the oil fill chrome cover missing.
