1:51 a.m.: Motor vehicle violation arrest, Springfield Road. Police made a motor vehicle stop and found that the operator, Luis A. Mejia, 20, of Springfield, was operating the vehicle without a license. Police arrested and charged him with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and a motor vehicle lights violation.
12:30 p.m.: Found property, US Post Office, West Silver Street. Police reported that a post office worker was cleaning out a mailbox on their route when they found nine different driver’s licenses in it. Police had no leads or additional information about the licenses.
1:06 p.m.: Motor vehicle violation arrest, Elm Street. Police stopped a motor vehicle after it was witnessed driving dangerously and power sliding in the road. Police arrested Mike M. Makarchuk, 23, of Westfield, and charged him with negligent operation of a motor vehicle and two counts of disturbing the peace.
1:34 p.m.: Officer wanted, Wal-Mart, Springfield Road. Police received a report of an individual who cashed several Money Grams at Wal-Mart using a false identification. No arrests were made at the time of the report.
10:24 p.m.: Burglary, Four Mile Country Store, Russell Road. Police received a report of an alarm activated at the store. Upon police arrival, they saw that a front window had been smashed and that cigarettes were stolen. Police suspected that it was the same individual that was involved in the other burglary within the past two days. Police put out another request for all local police departments to be on the look out for the suspect.
