11:49 a.m.: Identity fraud, walk-in. Police received a report from a walk-in party that claimed that someone filed taxes using their personal information. Police reported that there was no financial loss to the party, although someone else received their tax return.
6:46 p.m.: Motor vehicle accident, Springfield Road. Police received a report from a bystander who was with a bicyclist who was struck. The vehicle that reportedly struck the cyclist was a silver vehicle and that it should have front-end damage to it. The cyclist was transported to Baystate Medical Center and treated for a leg injury, but no arrests were made and no vehicle found.
7:49 p.m.: Motor vehicle violation and arrest, Loring Lane. Police received a call that there was a vehicle being erratically operated, including crossing into other travel lanes and has almost caused several accident. Police stopped the vehicle and arrested Thomas N. Gezotis, 36, of Sandisfield, on an active warrant. Police reported that the arrested party was not under the influence of any intoxicants.
8:40 p.m.: Warrant service and arrest, Brookline Avenue. Police arrested Vasiliy Khomyak, 28, of Westfield, in connection with posts and messages that police alleged they received that were threatening in nature. The story was originally reported in The Westfield News on July 14th.
