11:04 a.m.: Suspicious activity, Grove Avenue. Police were called after a resident reported that a neighbor’s teenager was shooting a weapon behind his house. The police were told that it was possibly a BB gun and that the teenager was shooting at a squirrel that was in the resident’s yard. Police confiscated the BB gun but did not press charges.
11:08 p.m.: Motor vehicle accident, Shaker Road. Police received a report of a 2013 Honda Accord that crashed into a tree on Shaker Road. Police and ambulance responded due to possible injuries, but the only occupant, the driver, refused medical care.
11:37 p.m.: Motor vehicle accident, Sergeant T.M. Dion Way. A motor vehicle hit a guardrail and was unable to be removed initially, according to Westfield Police. Eventually, police reported that the driver of the vehicle was able to remove the vehicle on his own and drive off.
