12:18 a.m.:
suspicious activity, East Main Street, caller reports pedestrian walking in highway, officer reports locating the subject who stated she was attempting cross Route 20, officer issued a verbal warning about walking in the roadway, services rendered;
1:44 a.m.: shoplifting, Walmart, 141 Springfield Road, store security reports a man attempted to leave the store without paying for merchandise, subject returned and paid after being confronted, no police action required, Walmart will deal with it internally;
10:13 a.m.: larceny, Main Street, community policing officer observed a man pushing a Stop & Shop cart toward Free Street, man was identified as a business owner and was using the cart that he found at his business to transport trash to a commercial trash container located at Rocky’s Hardware, officer advised the business owner that he had to return the cart to the supermarket;
10:45 a.m.: officer wanted, Russell Road in area of Tekoa Country Club, motorist reports windshield of vehicle was struck and damaged by a golf ball that came from the course, officer reports information taken;
3:59 p.m.: larceny, Sullivan Transportation, 39 South Broad St., company reports that between midnight and 1 a.m. a tractor entered the yard and hooked up to a flatbed trailing carrying an inter-modal container with product valued at $500,000 and left, no additional information provided by the company to identify the product or the flatbed trailer, referred to the detective bureau for further investigation;
4:53 p.m.: officer wanted, South Meadow Road, citizen reports two vehicle are tearing up his tobacco field roads, officer reports area search negative;
6:20 p.m.: arrest, Franklin Street, detective observed a person know to him and checked for wants and warrants, Brandon I. Heard, 29, of 7 Thorpe Ave., Holyoke taken into custody on two outstanding warrants;
6:34 p.m.: incapacitated person, area of Pleasant and Court streets, caller reports a subject who appears intoxicated fell off a bicycle, reporting party stated that the man said he was not injured in the fall, officer reports area search negative;
7:25 p.m.: brush fire, area of Bank of America, 10 Main St., caller reports fire in landscaping mulch, Fire Department dispatched brush truck, fire extinguished;
8:19 p.m.: officer wanted, Margerie Street, caller reports that her neighbor allows a person to park a landscaping vehicle and trailer on neighbor’s property and that the vehicle drove onto the caller’s lawn, officer located the landscaper who agreed to make restitution for damage to lawn.
