7:43 a.m.: Found property, Southampton Road. Police received a report of possible cremated human remains along with a death certificate, found behind a business on Southampton Road. Later in the day, at around 6:50 p.m., police received a call claiming the remains, but the person said that they were his dog’s remains, and he forgot them there on June 18.

9:03 a.m.: Motor vehicle accident, South Maple Street. Police received a report of a motor vehicle accident that involved a 2013 Nissan Rogue and a 2007 Ford Taurus. No airbags were reportedly deployed, but a tow truck was requested, and one person went to Baystate Noble Hospital for injuries.

10:34 a.m.: Shoplifting, 141 Springfield Road, Wal-Mart. Police were requested to Wal-Mart for possible shoplifting. Security reported that a female suspect had removed a security tag from a $129 kitchen pot, then proceeded to walk out of the store with it. Security also reported that after being approached, the woman initially said she would pay for the item, but then caused a disturbance. Upon police arrival, the report said that the suspect gave an initially false name and date of birth, but later provided her name and date of birth. Police said criminal charges would be filed, but no arrest was made at the time.

2:58 p.m.: Motorcycle accident, Montgomery and North Road. Police received a report of a motorcycle colliding with a car at the intersection. According to the caller, the motorcyclist was up and walking, but was hit “very hard by the vehicle.” One was transported to Baystate Noble Hospital.

6:03 p.m.: Shoplifting, 261 East Main St., Radio Shack. Police received a report from Radio Shack that a female suspect reportedly took a speaker, passed all points of sale and left the building. The woman then entered a vehicle and took off. Police were unable to locate the suspect, but put in a warrant for her arrest.
