12:47 a.m.: disturbance, Airport Industrial Park Road, a caller from a Airport Industrial Road bar reports two customers are fighting, the responding officer reports one of the parties had left prior to his arrival and the other was engaged in a verbal altercation with another customer, the man still there was served with a ‘No trespassing’ order;
4:40 a.m.: motor vehicle violation, East Main Street, a patrol officer reports he observed a vehicle operating at 57 mph in a 40 mph zone and stopped it, the operator was found to be the subject of an outstanding warrant and he was found to be unlicensed, Sergio Gilmer Ruiz, 25, of 127 Sylvan St., Springfield, was arrested for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, speeding in violation of special regulations and on the warrant;
6:09 a.m.: officer wanted, Mainline Drive, a representative of a Mainline Drive fitness center came to the station to report that a customer had threatened to shoot other customers, the responding officer reports the complainant said that the man had been served with a ‘No trespassing’ order and asked to leave, an officer subsequently had a long conversation with the suspect at his home and the man acknowledged that he had been angry with another customer but denied threatening to shoot up the place and said that he was going to send the gym management a letter of apology, the officer advised the man to speak with his counselor about the incident;
8:14 a.m.: vandalism, Cardinal Lane, a caller reports a tire on his vehicle was punctured, the responding officer reports the caller said that one tire was slashed while his car was parked at his home;
8:48 a.m.: larceny, Summit Lock Road, a representative of a Summit Lock Road business came to the station to report that batteries were stolen from trucks at his business, the responding officer reports the victim said that 23 batteries were stolen from 10 trucks between 1 p.m. Saturday and 4 p.m. Sunday;
9:48 a.m.: larceny, Northwest Road, a caller reports that her city-owned refuse container was stolen, the dispatcher reports a replacement container will be delivered and the DPW does not require a formal report;
10:30 a.m.: arrest, Westfield Police Department, 15 Washington St., a detective reports that his investigation into a complaint from a Southampton Road business of embezzlement by an employee showed that there was probable cause to arrest an account’s assistant who is believed to have altered documents to conceal the non-deposit of company funds,  to have misused a company credit card provided to expedite the purchase of office supplies, to have given himself a raise and to have arranged to be paid for unwarranted overtime, the accountant reported that the company suffered depredations amounting to $38,865.22, Sean P. Clancy, 50, of 31 Whitaker St., Springfield, was arrested for larceny of property valued more than $250 by a single scheme;
10:30 a.m.: well being check, East Main Street, a caller from an East Main Street supermarket reports a barefoot male party wearing pajama bottoms and a hoodie is a subject of concern in the store, the responding officer reports the man had left the store prior to his arrival but was found nearby, a routine check revealed the man to be the subject of an outstanding warrant, Christopher Berrios, 27, of 56 Elm Street, was arrested on the warrant;
1:44 p.m.: animal complaint, Westfield Animal Shelter, 178 Apremont Way, a person came to the shelter to surrender a female beagle mix dog, the man said that he must divest himself of the dog to retain his apartment;
4:06 p.m.: fire, South Maple Street, caller reports a small bush is on fire outside a gas station, the responding firefighters reports burning mulch had been extinguished prior to their arrival;
5:23 p.m.: officer wanted, a caller reports that her former roommate has her property which she refuses to return, the responding officer reports the complainant said that she lived with another woman for a few weeks but moved out and has been unable to recover her property, the officer reports the other woman surrendered a phone charger but said that she had discarded the clothing 30 days after the woman left, after a discussion the woman agreed to go shopping with the complainant to replace the clothing she discarded;
5:58 p.m.: breaking and entering, Wilson Avenue, a caller reports her husband’s vehicle was broken into overnight, the responding officer reports the victim said that his unlocked company vehicle parked in his driveway had been entered and a GPS device, a phone charger and sunglasses were stolen but his tools were not disturbed, the officer reports he spoke with a neighbor who said that another neighbor’s vehicle had also been entered overnight and a GPS device was stolen;
6:47 p.m.: officer wanted, a caller reports lightening struck a tree in his back yard, dual response dispatched, the responding firefighters report that lightening struck a pool shed and the electrical impulse traveled via the electricity service wires to the house where a breaker was tripped and damage appeared to have been done to electrical wiring, the resident was advised to leave the electricity disconnected until the wiring in the house is thoroughly checked by a licensed electrician;
6:53 p.m.: found property, Elm Street, a resident came to the station to surrender two identification cards she found on her windshield, the responding officer reports he was not able to immediately locate the owner of the documents and they were held for safekeeping at the station;
9:17 p.m.: officer wanted, Elm Street, a caller reports the defendant of an active protective order entered his apartment but has since left, the responding officer reports the order was confirmed but the woman was not found, a criminal complaint was filed;
9:51 p.m.: robbery, Elm Street, a caller reports a known man stole money from her, the responding officer reports the caller said that she had encountered a former neighbor on the Elm Street sidewalk and the man asked her for a few dollars, the woman said that when she opened her wallet the man grabbed $50-$60 dollars from it, the woman said that the man dropped his keys while grabbing the money and she picked them up but he cut her hand when he took them from her, the officer reports the man was not found and a warrant was applied for.
