6:05 a.m.:
assist other agency, Lincoln Street, officers report probation warrant served and resident taken into custody, Anthony M. Demattia, 27, of 6 Lincoln St., taken into custody;
8:05 a.m.: motor vehicle accident, East Silver Street at intersection of Coleman Avenue, officer reports vehicle stopped in traffic at construction site, office working the site reports a rear-end collision, a 1995 Mitsubishi collided with the rear of a 2003 Toyota, Mitsubishi towed from scene with front-end damage, the operator of the Toyota, the mother of the detail officer, was transported by Fire Department Emergency Medical Services (EMS) to Noble Hospital for treatment of a neck injury;
9:51 p.m.: larceny, Hampden Street, citizen reports prescription medication stolen, suspects that it was taken by a guest of her residence, officer reports information taken;
11:19 a.m.: violation of city ordinance, Taylor Avenue, officer spoke with a resident about furniture and other items placed on treebelt, citizen advised to remove items or purchase bulk pick-up stickers to have the city remove the items;
4:56 p.m.: animal complaint, Montgomery Road Animal Hospital, animal control officer reports taking custody of the male shih Tzu with a blue collar but no license tags, dog transported to shelter;
5:38 p.m.: motor vehicle accident, North Elm Street, caller reports a two-vehicle collision, officer reports operator of a northbound 1995 Ford van attempted to make left turn and entered the path of a southbound 2011 Subaru, one motorist complained of chest and neck pain but declined transport to hospital;
8:53 p.m. suspicious activity, Hedges and St. Dennis streets, caller reports bon fire, officers reports fire had been extinguished and subject had left area;
9:24 p.m.: suspicious activity, Montgomery Road in area of North Road intersection, patrol officer located a camper parked on the side of the roadway and spoke with the occupants who were travelling to Boston, taking the scenic route and had gotten lost, officer provided directions back to Routes 10& 202 and advised travelers to find a more appropriate location to rest for the night;
10:03 p.m.: suspicious activity, Taylor Avenue, caller reports a person is attempting to ignite items of furniture on the, officer reports no fire, area search negative;
10:38 p.m.: vandalism, arrest, Meadow Street, employee of Rally’s Bar & Grill reports that a tire of her 2004 Chevrolet was slashed, officer reports that while he was investigation that incident a patron of the bar came out and began screaming obscenities, subject was advised several times to go back inside the establishment, Kenneth D. Garrett, 44, of 44 Forest Avenue was taken into custody and charged with disorderly conduct.
