1:01 a.m.: Accident, Western Avenue and Western Circle. Police received a report of a car that struck a pole. Police reported that the roadway was temporarily shut down and both the operator and passenger were transported to Baystate Noble Hospital via Westfield Fire ambulance and personnel. 

12:21 p.m.: Accident, Springdale Road and Holyoke Road. Police received a report of a two-vehicle crash involving a 2009 Chevrolet Silverado and a 2017 Jeep. One person was reported injured and was taken to Baystate Medical Center by Westfield Fire ambulance and personnel. 

1:14 p.m.: Larceny, walk-in. Police received a report from a resident who claimed that they went to the bank and found that someone had allegedly cashed one of their checks. Police are investigating. 

4:52 p.m.: Accident, Bartlett Street and Mechanic Street. Police received a report of a two-vehicle crash involving a 2003 Ford Focus and a 2012 Buick Verano. No injuries were reported. 

6:58 p.m.: Incapacitated person and arrest, Southampton Road. Police received a report of a “Male party who appears to be intoxicated and passed out in his vehicle” with “two empty nips next to the male and another in his hand” in a parking lot. Police arrived and reported that Kyle V. Garrant, 35, of Springfield, reportedly failed field sobriety tests. Police arrested Garrant and charged him with operating under the influence of liquor, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and possess open container of alcohol in motor vehicle.

8:48 p.m.: Accident, Union Street. Police received a report of a one-vehicle crash involving a vehicle and the Westfield Feed sign. According to police, the driver had reportedly fell asleep. They were transported to Baystate Noble Hospital via Westfield Fire ambulance and personnel.
