5:00 a.m.: brush fire East Bartlett Street, Engine 4 dispatched, no action needed on scene;
7:59 a.m.: animal complaint, Connor Avenue, caller reports bear in yard, several officers dispatched, bear moved on;
9:27 a.m.: suspicious activity, White Street, caller reports subjects at vacant residence, officers report area search negative;
9:51 a.m.: commercial vehicle inspection, Western Avenue, officer reports citation issued;
1:21 p.m.: larceny, Walmart, 141 Springfield Road, caller reports leaving her cell phone on a counter and when she returned to recover her property it was gone, officer reports information taken for report;
3:46 p.m.: larceny, Holland Avenue, caller reports theft of property, officer transported the reporting party to a School Street business where the property was recovered, incident remains under investigation;
4:01 p.m.: larceny, Cleveland Avenue, caller reports theft of a musical instrument from residence, officer reports no sign of forced entry, incident remains under investigation;
8:09 p.m.: larceny Westfield High School, 177 Montgomery Road, caller reports the theft of a cell phone from the girl’s locker room, officer reports phone “pinged” and recovered, no charges pending;
10:37 p.m.: suspicious activity, Massachusetts Air National Guard Bridge, Route 20, patrol officer reports vehicle parked, man and woman sent on their way;
10:48 p.m.: suspicious activity, Massachusetts Air National Guard Bridge, Route 20, patrol officer reports another car with another couple at the same location, sent on their way.
