1:18 a.m.:
assault, 936 Russell Road, victim reported being jumped and assaulted in Russell by three men, the assailants took his phone and threw it into the river and threatened him, victim transported to Baystate Noble Hospital;
11:45 a.m.: larceny, Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church, 127 Holyoke Road, caller reported that at approximately 10:05 a.m., as they were preparing for a funeral, a man (described as 6 foot tall, heavy set with a gray pony tail) took three checks totaling $325 and $50 in cash;
1:29 p.m.: accident, Elm Street & Franklin Street, 2009 Kia (towed) and 2013 Honda, no injuries;
4:22 p.m.: officer wanted, Chapman Playground, Brian M. Harrison, 26, of 24.5 Elm St., arrested on an outstanding warrant;
4:32 p.m.: officer wanted, Stop & Shop Supermarket, 57 Main St., security officer called reporting an incident of shoplifting, police given license plate number for suspect’s vehicle, West Springfield police contacted with info. about suspect;
5:39 p.m.: traffic or motor vehicle complaint, Hampton Ponds Plaza, 1029 North Road, Richard A. Scorzafava, 29, of 270 Munger Hill Road, arrested on charges of distributing Class A drug (heroin), operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs, possession of Class B drug, negligent operation of motor vehicle and marked lanes violation;
6:48 p.m.: structure fire, 99 Montgomery St., dual response;
11:58 p.m.: larceny, Stanley Park, 400 Western Ave., woman walked into police department to report her cell phone had been stolen from the park earlier that day.
