1:31 a.m.: motor vehicle violation, Southampton Road at Emerald Avenue, a patrol officer reports he observed a vehicle operating northbound at a high rate of speed on Southampton Road without headlights and used radar to determine it was traveling at 52 mph in a 35 mph zone, the officer activated his takedown lights but the car did not stop for about three quarters of a mile, the officer reports he observed the classic symptoms of alcohol intoxication about the operator who admitted drinking alcohol and failed a field sobriety test, Thomas Alan Fisher, 55, of 919 Southampton Road, was arrested for operating a motor vehicle under the influence of liquor, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, speeding and operating a motor vehicle without headlights;
11:22 a.m.: suspicious activity, Phelps Avenue, a pair of officers visited a 22-year-old man to advise him that several high school girls do not welcome his advances, the officers report the man denied stalking girls who turn down his invitations;
2:56 p.m.: incapacitated person, Chapel Street, a caller reports a man is passed out in the entry of a building , the responding officer reports he provided an intoxicated man a courtesy transport to his home where his father accepted custody;
4:10 p.m.: larceny, Putnam Drive, a resident came to the station to complain that her husband’s debit card has been compromised and used in Norwood, the responding officer reports that the woman said that her husband’s debit card number was stolen and a fraudulent charge of more than $400 was made at a store in Norwood, the case was referred to the detective bureau;
5:08 p.m.: annoying phone calls, Powder Mill Village, 126 Union St., a caller said that she has received threatening phone calls from a known party, the responding officer reports both residents said that they have been receiving threatening and annoying phone calls from a former friend, the officer reports he was unable to immediately contact the suspect;
11:49 p.m.: officer wanted, Elm Street, a resident came to the station to complain that she left her identification card at an Elm Street bar and the bouncer told her that he can’t give it back because the owner is not present and the card is locked away, the responding officer reports he spoke with bar staff and recovered the card for return to the complainant.
