Major crime and incident report
Wednesday, March 2, 2016
7:49 a.m.:
accident, Hank’s Auto Service, 1110 Southampton Road, owner reported damage to his mailbox and sign from a truck turning around and leaving the scene during the overnight;
10:52 a.m.: Cumberland Farms, 1134 Southampton Road, 2012 Nissan and 2010 Toyota Tacoma, no injuries, no tows;
10:54 a.m.: drug/narcotic violations, Westfield District Court, 224 Elm St., investigated/report taken;
1:22 p.m.: burglary/breaking & entering, Egleston Road, resident reported finding his front door was broken when he returned home, unknown what/if anything stolen, but house was ransacked;
2:41 p.m.: accident, 91 E. Mountain Road at 0 Springfield Hill Road, 2013 Ford Escape and 2000 Subaru Impreza, no injuries, one operator arranging for his own tow;
4:08 p.m.: larceny, Pearl Street, woman reported dropping her phone in front on her residence and she is tracking it in Westfield;
5:55 p.m.: accident, Westfield Athenaeum, 6 Elm St., caller reported witnessing a tractor trailer strike a vehicle and leave the scene, license plate number given to police;
6:24 p.m.: larceny, Walmart, 141 Springfield Road, lost prevention witnessed a couple drive off with $350 worth of items;
9:02 p.m.: motor vehicle violation, Colonial Pine Acres, 50 Southampton Road, Pablo Lopez, 32, of 39 Winfield St., Worcester, arrested on charges of operating a motor vehicle with license suspended subsequent offense and state highway wrong way.
