9:04 a.m.: animal complaint, Montgomery Road, a caller reports he left his home briefly and returned to find a dead deer on his front lawn, the man said that he believes the deer was struck by a vehicle, the dispatcher reports a person was found who was willing to take the deer;
10:56 a.m.: parking violation, West Silver Street, a patrol officer reports he encountered a vehicle parked in a handicap parking space with an expired handicap placard, a citation was issued;
1:05 p.m.: larceny, Cleveland Avenue, a resident came to the station to report that property was stolen from his son’s garage, the responding officer reports that the complainant said that the contents had been intact on Feb. 1 but he now finds that mheavy power tools and a ladder are missing;
2:00 p.m.: animal complaint, Westfield Animal Shelter, 178 Apremont Way, an animal control officer reports that a resident came the shelter to surrender a cat and seven kittens she found in her back hallway;
3:41 p.m.: breaking and entering, Southampton Road, a caller reports a work vehicle was broken into overnight, the responding officer reports the complainant said that the vehicle was locked but said that numerous employees have been issued keys and any could have made a copy, the caller said that power tools valued at about $1,000 were stolen from the vehicle;
7:08 p.m.: assist other agency, Noble Hospital Emergency Department, Court Street, a caller from the emergency department requests assistance with an unruly patient who is engaging in a fist fight with a doctor, the responding officer reports a criminal complaint was filed.
