6:54 a.m.: assist citizen, South Maple Street, a caller reports her keys are locked inside her running vehicle, the responding deputy fire chief reports entry was gained;
10:23 a.m.: abandoned vehicle, Russell Road, a patrol officer reports he attempted to make contact with the owner of a vehicle which has reportedly been parked at a Russell Road apartment complex all winter, the officer found nobody at home at the address of the registered owner of the pickup truck;
3:52 p.m.: fraud, Lois Street, a resident came to the station to complain of fraudulent use of her debit card, the responding officer reports the complainant said that although she still has physical possession of the card it was nonetheless used recently in New York City, the case was referred to the financial crimes unit of the Detective Bureau;
4:09 p.m.: disturbance, Edgewood Apartments, 134 Union St., a caller report hearing her neighbors engage in a heated domestic disturbance, the responding officer reports both parties steadfastly maintained that their dispute had been purely verbal and that the injury to the female party’s eye resulted from a fall in the bathroom when her face hit the sink;
7:35 p.m.: fire, Main Street, a caller reports a fire outside a house, the responding firefighters report they found an active fire around the door of a residence which had been knocked down by bystanders using a fire extinguisher and snow, siding and the trim and threshold around the door were removed to fully extinguish the fire which Deputy Chief Patrick Egloff and a trooper from the state fire marshal’s officer determined to have been caused by “careless disposal of smoking materials”;
9:56 p.m.: larceny, Joseph Avenue, a caller reports her son has misused her debit card, the responding officer reports the woman said that her son used her card without authority Tuesday and after she confronted him and recovered the card he again stole the card from her again on Wednesday and again used it for unauthorized purchases, the officer reports a criminal complaint was filed.
