12:54 a.m.: parking violation, Ellsworth Street at Franklin Street, a patrol officer reports he encountered a vehicle parked in the intersection which was blocking access to the sidewalk, the officer reports citations were issued for each infraction;
8:22 a.m.: motor vehicle violation, Main Street, a patrol officer reports a traffic stop, the vehicle’s registration was found to be expired and the car was towed to the police impound yard, a courtesy transport was provided;
10:54 a.m.: motor vehicle violation, Union Street, a patrol officer reports he observed a car fail to stop for a red light and after stopping the vehicle he found that the operator’s license had been suspended, the owner of the vehicle came to the scene and took custody of the car;
11:51 a.m.: larceny, Elm Street, a caller from a donut shop reports that a customer was captured on security video stealing two cups valued at $9 each, the responding officer reports he spoke with the suspect at his residence and recovered the cups, the officer advised the man that the management of the store may decide to issue him a ‘No trespassing’ order;
1:52 p.m.: larceny, Roosevelt Avenue, a resident came to the station to complain that an account was opened in her name by another person, the responding officer reports that the woman said that she suspects her estranged husband is responsible, the officer advised the woman that due to the community property laws if she is married to the suspect no crime has occurred;
2:21 p.m.: disturbance, Otis Street, a caller reports an intoxicated neighbor is creating a disturbance, the responding officer reports that nobody could be found to care for the man who was subsequently placed in protective custody;
5:23 p.m.: suspicious activity, Phelps Avenue, a resident came to the station to report harassment by a neighbor, the responding officer reports the woman said that she observed a glint at the base of one of her vehicle’s tires and investigated to find a nail positioned to pierce the tire when she moved the vehicle, the woman said that she believes a neighbor with whom she has ongoing issues with is responsible;
9:33 p.m.: incapacitated person, Arnold Street, a caller from an Arnold Street bar reports a man is slumped over the wheel of a running vehicle in the parking lot, the responding officer reports that the man did not appear to be intoxicated but made irrational responses to questions and could not explain why he was in the parking lot, the owner of the vehicle was contacted and came to the parking lot to take custody of it, the man was provided a courtesy transport to his Hillside Road residence.
