2:03 a.m.: suspicious person, Washington House, 16 Washington St., a caller reports a man is sleeping curled up on a loveseat next to the second floor vending machines, the responding officer reports the man thought he was at his home and doesn’t know how he gained access to the building, the man was provided a courtesy transport to his King Avenue home where his girlfriend accepted custody of him;
2:49 a.m.: disturbance, Elm Street, a caller from an Elm Street convenience store reports that an intoxicated customer is creating a disturbance, a second caller subsequently complained that an employee of a donut shop co-located with the convenience store is refusing to serve him, the responding officer reports the intoxicated man had started an argument with an employee when he refused to pick up some trash, the officer reports the man was provided a courtesy transport to his Morris Avenue home;
11:00 a.m.: animal complaint, Westfield Animal Shelter, 178 Apremont Way, a resident came to the shelter to surrender her intact male cairn terrier;
12:21 p.m.: motor vehicle violation, Springfield Road, a patrol officer reports he observed a parked vehicle which was found to have registration revoked for lack of insurance, the plates were seized and the van was towed to the police impound yard;
1:14 p.m.: assist resident, Noble Hospital, 115 W. Silver St., a patrol officer reports a woman transported to hospital by ambulance has no way to get home since the local taxi company is not available, a courtesy transport was provided;
5:00 p.m.: traffic complaint, East Bartlett Street at Phelps Avenue, a caller reports two vans parked across from each other narrow the street so that emergency vehicles might not be able to pass, the responding officer reports a relative of the owner of one of the vehicles moved it;
7:32 p.m.: identity fraud, East Main Street, a resident came to the station to complain that her credit card was fraudulently used, the responding officer reports the complainant said that she inadvertently left her credit card on a counter at an East Main Street department store and it was subsequently twice used for two transactions totaling about $125;
8:25 p.m.: motor vehicle violation, East Main Street, a patrol officer requests a tow for a vehicle found to have expired registration, the car was towed to the police impound yard;
10:25 p.m.: officer wanted, East Bartlett Street, a caller reports that vehicles parked on both sides of the street are constricting traffic and creating a hazard, the responding officer reports he spoke with the owner of one of the cars and warned her that a citation could be issued, the woman moved her car.
