6:49 a.m.: Larceny, Western Circle. Police received a report of a 2015 Honda Accord that reportedly had rims and tires stolen off of it sometime overnight. Police are investigating but no further information as given.

2:54 p.m.: Larceny, East Silver Street. Police received a report from a manager at a pharmacy that an employee was allegedly “caught stealing money from a register as well as a controlled substance.” Police reported that restitution was paid for the money that was allegedly stolen but there was no proof available that a controlled substance was taken.

5:17 p.m.: Larceny, East Main Street. Police received a report of a previous larceny that was reportedly found on security footage. The alleged larceny, which police did not give a date of, had reportedly involved hemp oil being taken.

8:39 p.m.: Motor vehicle violation and arrest, Springfield Road. Police initially stopped a vehicle after they reportedly saw that the passenger side headlight was out. Upon running the operator’s information, police reported that the driver, Jose L. Torres, 33, of Springfield, reportedly had a suspended license. Police arrested Torres and charged him with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license–subsequent offense.

10:20 p.m.: Accident, hit and run and arrest, East Main Street. Police reported that they heard a collision between two vehicles behind them and initially, the vehicle allegedly tried to drive away. However, police stopped the vehicle. Police investigated the crash and reported that the driver, Jacob M. Samborski, 28, of Westfield, had reportedly failed all field sobriety tests. Police arrested Samborski and charged him with operating under the influence of liquor, leaving the scene of property damage and reckless operation of a motor vehicle.
