8:44 a.m.: larceny, Franklin Street, a North Weymouth resident came to the station to report larceny via her debit card, the responding officer reports the complainant said that she had used her debit card at a Franklin Street merchant and noticed that the clerk seemed to be paying inordinate attention when she keyed in her PIN, the woman said that she subsequently discovered that cash has recently been withdrawn from an ATM with her debit card without her knowledge and realized that the clerk failed to return her debit card, the case was referred to the financial crimes unit of the Detective Bureau;
8:53 a.m.: fire, Jefferson Street, a caller reports smoke in the area of abandoned buildings, the responding officer reports finding a small camp fire between two buildings, the officer reports the caller assisted in extinguishing the fire;
10:04 a.m.: assault, Elm Street, a resident came to the station to report she was assaulted by an adult family member, the responding officer reports the woman said that she and her sister had left Westfield District Court and a disagreement developed in the parking lot which ended when the other woman assaulted her, a criminal complaint was filed;
12:13 p.m: suspicious property, Kasper Drive, city housing authority personnel report finding a homeless encampment, the city workers report the encampment is vacant and they will dismantle it;
1:05 p.m.: school investigation, Westfield Middle School South, a school resource officer reports school authorities advised him that a 12-year-old pupil had been found to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana, a city ordinance violation citation as issued;
2:03 p.m.: larceny, East Main Street, a resident came to the station to complain that money was stolen from her purse while she was working, the responding officer reports he learned that thefts from employees’ property at an East Main Street resident had prompted the management to install a security camera in the area, a review of the video allowed a suspect to be identified, a criminal complaint was filed;
6:47 p.m.: disturbance, Lockhouse Road, a caller reports a male party ran into the roadway asking for help because he wanted to get away from two other persons trying to hurt him, the responding officer reports he found that two parties had become embroiled in a verbal altercation because one allegedly drove too close to a pedestrian;
10:07 p.m.: fire, Conner Avenue, a call reports a burning complaint, the responding firefighters report the homeowner was advised of the pertinent city ordinances and extinguished his fire;
10:40 p.m.: officer wanted, West Road, a caller reports what appears to be a large party involving underage drinking in an apple orchard where he has seen several vehicles, entering, the responding officer reports he identified more than 30 young persons before a property owner arrived and gave the youths permission to remain on the property and continue their party;
11:35 p.m.: trespassing, Half Mile Falls Park, North Elm Street, an officer reports person were seen using skateboards in the park, the responding officer reports two persons were advised of the park’s closing time and the prohibition of skateboards and they left the area;

12:35 a.m.: assault, Summit Lock Road, a caller reports he was assaulted by a warehouse employee, the responding officer reports employees said that a truck arrived significantly sooner that it was scheduled and the operator was advised to return when he is expected, the trucker complained that employees touched him when they escorted him from the property and said he wants to pursue criminal charges, the man was advised that he could seek a criminal complaint at Westfield District Court;
3:33 a.m.: assault, Elm Street, a caller reports he was assaulted by a female party, the responding officer report the man was found at a Elm Street gas station and said that he met a woman at an Elm Street bar who subsequently assaulted him, the officer reports the man said that he does not know the woman’s name nor does he know where the assault occurred, the man was transported to Noble Hospital for treatment;
5:47 a.m.: breaking and entering, Powder Mill Village, 126 Union St., a caller reports she awoke to find a male party in her bedroom who stole her purse, the responding officer report the woman said that when she woke she recognized the man dressed in black and said that her purse contained her prescription medications, the point of entry was not determined and a search of the area did not yield a suspect;
7:54 a.m.: assist other agency, Falcon Drive, air national guard officials request assistance blocking the approach to the base because two pipe bombs were discovered near the gate, the responding officer reports the cylindrical containers were found to be document holders and the security perimeter was relaxed;
10:11 a.m.: breaking and entering, Pineridge Drive, a caller reports his unlocked vehicle was entered and property including a GPS device was stolen, the responding officer reports the stolen property was found in a nearby bush;
6:12 p.m.: fire, Barbara Street, a deputy fire chief reports confined unauthorized burning, the responding firefighters report the residents extinguished the fire;
8:13 p.m.: fire, Prospect Street Extension, a caller reports a resident is burning trash, the responding firefighters report the resident extinguished the fire;
8:58 p.m.: fire, Colonial Pine Acres, 50 Southampton Road, a caller from the city’s housing authority reports a bonfire at the rear of the complex, the responding firefighters reports the residents extinguished the fire;
11:28 p.m.: breaking and entering, Mechanic Street, a caller reports she returned home to find her residence had been ransacked, the responding officer reports pry marks were found on a door but it is not clear if entry was made there, a laptop computer and a digital reader were reported to have been stolen.
