12:34 a.m.: motor vehicle violation, North Elm Street, patrol officers report they observed a vehicle stopped at a red light which did not promptly continue when the light changed to green, the officers report the vehicle was stopped and a passenger was seen apparently attempting to hide something under a seat, the passengers were ordered to exit and a bottle of beer was found under a seat and a glass pipe used for smoking marijuana was also found, a passenger was found to be in possession of a similar pipe, the operator, Daniel Lee Webster, 18, of 60 Chester Road, Middlefield, was arrested for being a person younger than the legal age in possession of liquor and was cited for possession of marijuana, a passenger was similarly cited;
12:48 a.m.: assault, Elm Street, a caller reports a known person assaulted others, the responding officer reports a female party said that she attempted to intervene when two known males were fighting and was pushed to the ground, the woman said the fight continued until she called police, the woman and one of the men were treated at Noble Hospital and a routine check revealed that the male party was the subject to two outstanding warrants, Dennis O. Rosa-Roman, 21, of 94 Pearl St., Springfield, was arrested on the two warrants, he was found to be in possession of a single loose pill and was also charged with possession of a Class E drug, a criminal complaint for assault and battery was filed against the other male party who had left the area;
1:39 a.m.: disturbance, a caller reports her husband is intoxicated and verbally abusive, the responding officer reports the woman said that her husband came home intoxicated and has a history of being abusive, the officer deemed the man to be too intoxicated to care for himself and he was placed in protective custody;
2:57 p.m.: larceny, East Mountain Road, a representative of an East Mountain Road business reports via the online reporting option that a review of security video showed that a member of a cleaning crew stole promotional t-shirts valued at $20, the reporting party said that the person’s employer was notified and the suspect was discharged, the reporting party said that the company wishes to pursue a criminal complaint;
4:40 p.m.: arrest, Powder Mill Village, 126 Union St., an officer detailed to execute two warrants at a Union Street address reports the resident allowed him entry and said the suspects were not in the apartment, the officer investigated a noise and found the suspects in another room, Natasha A. Jeffrey, 31, and Corey K. Huard, 33, both of 126 Union St., were arrested on warrants;
5:13 p.m.: larceny, Main Street, a caller reports her tablet computer was stolen, the responding officer reports the device had been in her shopping cart when it was stolen;
9:34 p.m.: larceny, East Main Street, a caller reports a male party seen in a liquor store appeared to be shoplifting, the responding officer reports the caller said he followed the suspect to the parking lot and noted the registration number of his vehicle before he returned inside and reviewed the security video which showed what the man had stolen, the case remains under investigation;

12:35 a.m.: city ordinance violation, Arnold Street, a patrol officer reports a known person was seen drinking alcohol with a female party but the woman fled when the officer approached the man, a city ordinance violation citation was issued;
3:07 a.m.: disturbance, Powdermill Village, 126 Union St., a caller reports a domestic disturbance, the responding officer reports the female party said that she had been beaten by her boyfriend, the woman was transported to Noble Hospital for treatment, the man had left the area, the woman called police again at 11:40 a.m. to report the man had been seen in the parking lot, the responding officer reports Joshua A. DeJesus, 32, of 73 Farnum Drive, Holyoke, was arrested for assault and battery in a domestic relationship;
3:22 p.m.: trespassing, Whitney Playground, Shepard Street, a patrol officer reports he found a homeless man who had apparently taken up residence under the Great River Bridge, the man was asked to leave the area;
3:42 p.m.: assist other police agency, Hampton Ponds Plaza, 1029 North Road, an environmental police officer requests assistance with a group of recreational vehicles he has stopped, the responding officers report they assisted as five unregistered recreational vehicles which had been operated on private party were transported to the police impound yard, a SUV with registration revoked for lack of insurance was also towed to the impound yard;
5:44 p.m.: disturbance, Maple Street, a caller reports a neighbor is creating a disturbance, the responding officer reports the tenant was deemed to be too intoxicated to care for himself and was placed in protective custody;
5:54 p.m.: burglary, Evergreen Manor, 919 Southampton Road, a caller reports property was stolen from his storage unit, the responding officer reports the complainant said that some time since May 10 about 4,000 vintage comic books were stolen from his part of a common storage area;
6:57 p.m.: larceny, Danek Drive, a caller reports her iPod was stolen, the responding officer reports that the complainant said that the only person who had access to her residence were a window contractor and her daughter and her boyfriend, the officer reports the theft remains under investigation;
8:11 p.m.: disturbance, St. Paul Street, a caller reports her brother assaulted her, the responding officer reports the 15-year-old suspect said that he pushed his sister and subsequently blacked out and does not know what subsequently transpired, the boy’s adult sister said that he had been acting out and when she tried to dissuade him he assaulted her, the boy was arrested for being delinquent by reason assault and battery in a domestic relationship.
