8:54 a.m.: larceny, Baystate Noble Hospital, 115 W. Silver St., a caller from the hospital reports the theft of narcotics, the responding officer reports a small amount of a controlled substance was found to be missing from a medication cart;
9:58 a.m.: vandalism, Southampton Road, a contractor reports someone threw something at a window of a site trailer and broke it, the responding officer reports a truck window was broken by a can of spray lubricant which was seized as evidence;
2:24 p.m.: breaking and entering, Leonard Avenue, an administrator of an estate reports the decedent’s vacant home was broken into, the responding officer reports forcible entry was apparently gained via a window but nothing appears to be missing;
4:41 p.m.: trespassing, Westfield Soup Kitchen, 101 Meadow St., a caller reports a person previously served with a ‘No trespassing’ order is at the soup kitchen, the responding officer reports Ransford A. Kwade, of no fixed address in Westfield, was arrested for trespass;
7:04 p.m.: larceny, Westfield Shops, East Main Street, a detective reports that the subjects of an ongoing investigation were observed systematically shoplifting at two East Main Street stores, the two women were followed as they drove from one of the stores and the operator was known to be the subject of a warrant issued by Westfield District Court, the vehicle was stopped and both women were found to be in possession of heroin, Cynthia L. Poole, 46, of 50 Day Ave., Westfield, was arrested for two charges of shoplifting by concealing merchandise and charges of shoplifting merchandise valued more than $250, possession of a Class A drug and on the warrant; Michelle I. Parker, 33, of 651 Holyoke Road, Westfield, was arrested for two charges of shoplifting by concealing merchandise (a third offense) and charges of shoplifting merchandise valued more than $250 by concealing merchandise and possession of a Class A drug.
