9:55 a.m.: city ordinance violation, Frederick Street, an officer detailed to follow up on unpaid city ordinance violation citations reports an offender who has not paid a fine after being cited for drinking alcohol in public has not responded to a letter advising that a criminal complaint would result if the fine continues to be unpaid, a criminal complaint will be filed;
12:58 p.m.: vandalism, Colonial Pine Acres, 50 Southampton Road, a caller reports vandalism to a motor vehicle, the responding officer reports a widow was found to be cracked but noted that it was possible that the crack was due to weather conditions;
1:15 p.m.: larceny, East Main Street, a caller from an East Main Street supermarket reports that a review of security video after the recent arrest of a pair of shoplifters showed that the same thieves stole meat and shrimp from the store on Aug. 23, the report was referred to the Detective Bureau;
2:17 p.m.: animal complaint, Hanover Street, a caller reports there is an injured fox in a neighbor’s yard, the responding animal control officer reports the fox was transported to the municipal animal shelter;
2:34 p.m.: vandalism, Powdermill Village, 126 Union St., a caller reports the rear window of her vehicle was smashed overnight, the responding officer reports nothing was taken from the car;
4:28 p.m.: fire, Madison Street, a caller reports seeing smoke, the responding firefighters report a resident was found to be burning illegally, the fire was extinguished.
