Major crime and incident report

8:15 a.m.: Accident, Little River Road and East Main Street. Police responded to a two-car accident involving a 2006 Toyota Corolla and a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado. Police reported that there were no injuries and both vehicles were able to drive from the scene.

3:56 p.m.: Attempted fraud, walk-in. Police received a report from a resident that stated a party had tried multiple times to scam him out of money. The scam involved money needing to be wired to a foreign country. The man did not give any personal information and no loss was reported.

5:25 p.m.: Motor vehicle violation and arrest, Southampton Road. Police initially stopped a vehicle operated by Jason L. Smith, 42, of Agawam, after they found that his sticker had expired on his vehicle. Upon processing his information police found that he also had a suspended license. Police arrested Smith and charged him with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.

8:33 p.m.: Motor vehicle violation and arrest, Hampden Street. Police stopped a vehicle that was being operated by Anthony T. Disanto, 35, of Westfield, after recognizing him and having warrants out for his arrest. Upon stopping Disanto and confirming identity, police arrested him on two warrants.
