10:56 a.m.: Shoplifting, Walmart, Springfield Road. Police received a report from loss prevention office at Walmart that there was a possible theft that occurred. Unfortunately, the suspect was able to get away in a green Hyundai SUV according to loss prevention officers and no plate information was recorded.
2:14 p.m.: Vandalism, Ethan Avenue. Police received a report of a home that is unoccupied having its windows destroyed at some point in the recent past. Police had no suspects, witnesses or firm time frame.
2:57 p.m.: Shoplifting, Walmart, Springfield Road. Police received a report of two shoplifters at Walmart by loss prevention officers. Police came and found that one of the shoplifters, Kayla Lisa Wood, 27, of West Springfield, had a warrant out for her arrest. Police arrested Wood and charged her with shoplifting by asportation, as well as being defaulted on a warrant. The other unnamed female was trespassed from the property.
5:30 p.m.: Vandalism of a motor vehicle, Clark Street. Police received a report from a driver who claimed that they heard a smashing sound in the rear of their vehicle. They drove from the area and arrived home, and found that the rear window was shattered and a whisky bottle was in the back seat. Police had no suspects or arrests at the time of the report.
8:34 p.m.: Accident, Southampton Road and Friendly’s Way. Police received a report of a two-car accident involving a 2014 Kia Forte and a 1996 Acura Integra. Police reported that one of the drivers had left the scene but did leave their information with the other. The vehicle that was still on scene was deemed inoperable and was towed. Police reported no injuries.
