Major crime and incident report

8:28 a.m.: Accident, Little River Road. Police received a report of an accident with no injuries. A 2006 Chevrolet Silverado and a 2016 Subaru Legacy were involved.

9:51 a.m.: Accident, North Elm Street. Police received a report of an accident with no injuries. A 2002 Nissan Pathfinder and a 2002 Dodge Caravan were involved. One tow truck was requested.

12:30 p.m.: Accident, Springfield Road and Union Street. Police received a report of an accident with no injuries. A 2012 Honda CRV and a 2008 Ford Focus were involved. Two tow trucks requested.

2:43 p.m.: Suspicious (other), Westfield Whip Manufacturing Elm Street. Police received a report that someone may have been inside the building the night before due to some items that were tampered with and out of place.

3:22 p.m.: Accident, Southampton Road. Police received a report of a motorbike accident. According to police, a vehicle made a turn in the path of the motorbike rider and the operator reportedly “laid down” the bike. One person was transported to Baystate Noble Hospital via Westfield Fire personnel and ambulance and a tow truck was requested.

4:36 p.m.: Disturbance and arrest, Patriots Drive. Police received a report that a person had reportedly given someone a ride home and the person was then accusing the person who was given the ride of stealing a tablet. Police could not confirm where the tablet was. Police arrested Jason E. Gadreault, 41, of Westfield, on an arrest warrant.
