8:37 a.m.: motor vehicle violation, a patrol officer reports a traffic stop, the operator’s license was found to be suspended in Massachusetts, the vehicle was towed;
9:19 a.m.: arrest, Court Street, a detective reports that a level three sex offender has not registered as required, officers sought and found the offender, Ronald J. Collier, 42, of 109 Court St., was arrested for being a sex offender who fails to register;
9:55 a.m.: violation of a protective order, Hagan Avenue, a resident came to the station to complain that her former husband has violated the “No contact” clause of a protective order, the woman said that the man sent her text messages almost every day in October and showed the officer numerous messages, a criminal complaint was filed;
3:58 p.m.: found property, a resident came to the station to surrender a registration plate she found;
6:08 p.m.: larceny, Franklin Street, a caller reports her nephew stole her husband’s gold chain which is valued at $1,000, the responding officer reports the caller said that her husband took off his chain when he showered and it was gone when he returned for it, the woman said that she gathered her children and their backpacks but a nephew she has custody of said he could not find his backpack, the woman said that when his backpack was found she discovered it contained the missing chain as well as a camera and an iPod which belong to others of her children, the woman said that her nephew admitted culpability and said that he was going to sell the items in school, the woman told the officer that she wants criminal charges to be filed against him;
8:29 p.m.: larceny, Springfield Road, a caller reports a store employee was pushed by a shoplifter when he tried to detain her, the responding officer reports an employee of a Springfield Road department store said that two women were seen to enter the store and were observed as they selected clothing and removed the tags before exiting the store without making payment, the employee said that when he asked them to return to the store one pushed him and the two women fled with merchandise valued at about $100;
9:27 p.m.: motor vehicle violation, Franklin Street, a traffic bureau officer reports a traffic stop, the vehicle’s registration was found to be expired and it was towed to the police impound yard.
