1:05 a.m.: Accident, Elm Street. Police received a report of a possible hit-and-run accident that initially happened on Elm Street. The vehicle left the scene but a suspect was eventually stopped by Southwick Police and was reportedly arrested for driving under the influence. Police did not have ID of suspect.

7:34 a.m.: Accident, Mechanic Street and Bartlett Street. Police received a report of a two-car accident involving a 2006 Ford Fusion and a 2002 Ford Taurus. There were no injuries reported but the vehicles had significant enough damage to result in both vehicles being towed.

9:59 a.m.: Shoplifting arrest, Elm Street. Police had previously received a report of alcohol that was stolen from a store on Elm Street on Oct. 22. On Oct. 23, the suspect had returned to the store and police were notified, later locating him on Main Street. Police arrested Rudene Westbrook, 37, of Westfield, and charged him with shoplifting by concealing merchandise.

4:58 p.m.: Accident, North Elm Street. Police received a report for a two-car accident involving a 2007 Nissan Sentra and a 2010 Jeep Wrangler. One vehicle was towed from the scene but there were no injuries reported.
