7:12 a.m.: Noise complaint, Wilson Avenue. Police received a noise complaint from neighbors of an apartment regarding music that was being played too loud. Police reported that the person who was playing the music loudly, Jordyne M. Taylor, 26, of Westfield, refused to comply with police and was eventually arrested, charged with disturbing the peace.

9:28 a.m.: Larceny, walk-in. Police received a report of an attempted larceny that occurred on a Westfield resident’s bank card. Police reported that there was no loss to the victim but there were also no suspects or arrests.

11:17 a.m.: Breaking and entering and burglary, Whip City Candle, North Elm Street. Police received a report of a break-in at the Whip City Candle, similar to a break-in earlier in the month at a local flower shop. Police reported that cash was stolen from a register but did not report any other losses.
