7:26 a.m.: Vandalism, Pochassic Road. Police received a report of some glass house and bulldozer windows that were allegedly broken by some rocks. The police had no suspects or further information to report.

11:13 a.m.: Disturbance, West School Street. Police received a report for a disturbance between two men and a female at an address on West School Street. Police responded and later requested an ambulance for one of the men who reportedly stabbed himself in the chest. The man was transported to Baystate Medical Center by Westfield Fire paramedics, and no further information is available. See related story in Oct. 5th Westfield News.

3:24 p.m.: Larceny, walk-in. Police reported that a female party reported that she had property stolen from her by a person she lived with. Police informed her that this was a domestic issue and that while it is being investigated, there were no arrests made.

8:28 p.m.: Suspicious person and arrest, Main Street. Police received a report from a caller that said that a woman was walking in and out of traffic yelling “rape” and swearing loudly. Police arrived on scene with the woman and eventually placed her under arrest. Due to the sensitivity of the issue, the name of the person will not be released, but the woman was charged with disorderly conduct.
