8:52 a.m.: Shoplifting, Big Y, East Silver Street. Police reported that three alleged shoplifters were in custody by someone at the Big Y. Police reported that there was one person over 18 and two minors reportedly involved. Police arrested one minor, while an adult, David Protsun, 19, of Southwick, was also arrested and charged with shoplifting by asportation. The second minor was released to parental custody. Police reported just over $32 worth of items were allegedly stolen.
12:14 p.m.: Accident, East Main Street and Main Line Drive. Police received a report of a two-vehicle accident. A 2009 Dodge Journey and a 2018 Kia vehicle were involved. Injuries were reported and two people were transported to Baystate Noble Hospital via Westfield Fire ambulance and personnel. Two tow trucks were also requested.
1:05 p.m.: Accident, Laura Drive. Police received a report of a vehicle that had driven off the road and struck a tree. Injuries reported. One person was transported to Baystate Noble Hospital via Westfield Fire ambulance and personnel. One tow truck also requested.
9:10 p.m.: Shoplifting, Walmart, Springfield Road. Police received a report of what was reported as a hispanic male that allegedly took unpaid GoPro merchandise and left the store. Police reported that they are investigating.
