12:45 a.m.: disturbance, Spring Street, officer responded to a college aged disturbance and dispersed about 50 persons from a party at two residences, college officials were advised of the incident;
6:36 a.m.: found property, Westfield Police Station, 15 Washington St., a desk officer noted that a key for a Chrysler vehicle and a white purse left at the station have not been claimed, a report was filed for each item and they were stored for safe keeping;
11:44 a.m.: boat violation, state boat ramp, 303 Old Apremont Way, boat patrol officers report a citation was issued for fishing too close to the boat ramp;
1:03 p.m.: vandalism, East Main Street, a caller reports her vehicle was keyed in an East Main Street parking lot, the responding officer reports a review of a nearby store’s security video was inconclusive;
2:30 p.m.: incapacitated person, Parker Avenue, a caller reports his eight-month-old daughter is unresponsive and not breathing, dual response dispatched, the infant was transported to Baystate Medial Center, Daniel Anthony Torres, 28, of 14 Parker Ave., Apt. 3, Westfield, was arrested for assault and battery on a child with substantial injury, assault and battery, reckless endangerment of a child and intimidating a witness, juror or police officer, see stories in the July 31 and Aug. 1 editions of The Westfield News;
10:51 p.m.: disturbance, Baystate Noble Hospital, Court Street, hospital staff request assistance with an unruly patient, the responding officer reports that the woman was calmed but upon discharge was deemed to be too intoxicated to care for herself, nobody willing to care for her could be found but when officers attempted to take her into protective custody she again became unruly and resisted their efforts, Carolyn H. Duquette, 38, of 454 Cold Spring Ave., West Springfield, was arrested for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
