12:16 a.m.: vandalism, Elm Street, a caller reports a former tenant broke a window, the responding officer reports the window is broken but the responsible party is unknown;
8:14 a.m.: animal complaint, Elizabeth Avenue, an animal control officer reports she is in the area looking for two stray dogs, the ACO reports two dogs found on Sherwood Avenue were transported to the Westfield Animal Shelter;
10:25 a.m.: accident, Union Street, a caller reports an accident, the responding officer reports one person involved in the rear end crash was transported to Baystate Noble Hospital;
11:52 a.m.: larceny, Turnpike Industrial Road, representative of a Turnpike Industrial Road business came to report larceny by an employee, the responding officer reports the complainant said that a terminated employee left a company vehicle at the airport and electronic equipment was found to be missing from the vehicle when it was recovered, the officer reports the company will deal with the issue internally;
12:37 p.m.: found property, West Silver Street, a caller reports finding live ammunition on the grounds of the South Middle School, the responding officer reports he took custody of the single bullet found which was not live;
2:54 p.m.: found property, East Main Street, a patrol officer reports a person surrendered a wallet found on East Main Street, the wallet was taken to the station for safe keeping, see next entry;
3:03 p.m.: larceny, Avery Street, a Gardner resident came to the station to report his wallet was stolen and a credit card was used, the responding officer reports the man identified and claimed a found wallet, the officer reports that a credit card in the wallet was used at a Main Street fast food restaurant and then apparently the wallet was discarded;
4:43 p.m.: counterfeiting, Elm Street, a supervisory officer reports that the management of an Elm Street bar surrendered 18 false ID cards which had been seized from underaged would-be customers;
11:35 p.m.: disturbance, Holland Avenue, a caller reports excessive noise from a college aged party, the responding officer reports two tenants were cooperative and acknowledged that their party “got out of control”, about 160 persons found at the residence were dispersed officers noted that they “trespassed on neighboring properties and discarded empty beer cans on the sidewalks and tree belts” as they left the area, an officer observed two vehicles parked less than 20 feet from an intersection which were ticketed, two tenants were issued city ordinance violations for keeping a nuisance house, the landlord was notified.
