8:12 a.m.: Motor vehicle accident, Southampton Road. Police reported a two-car accident involving a 2009 Mitsubishi Lancer and a 1992 Jeep Cherokee, which resulted in an injury. Two tow trucks were needed and one person was brought to Baystate Noble by Westfield Fire paramedics. No other information was available from police.

5:02 p.m.: Larceny, walk-in. A person reports that her debit card was stolen from a business on Southwick Road and subsequently used. No suspects or arrests at the time of the report.

5:07 p.m.: Motor vehicle violation arrest. Police stopped a driver who they were familiar with. Upon stopping the driver, they found that he was allegedly operating under a suspended license, and after searching the driver found 32 bags of heroin, according to police. The operator, Gerard N. Desjardins, 33, of Westfield, was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and possession of a class A drug–subsequent offense.
